Sending you Easter blessings and hope for a joyous holiday!
The HMD team invites you to become acquainted with the Navy SEALs Fund – Brotherhood Beyond Battlefield®, a Veterans-helping-Veterans, 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization. All positions within the organization are provided by an all-volunteer staff; there are no paid positions. The objective of the organization is to strengthen the bonds of the Brotherhood and reduced the financial burden of members of the Navy UDT/SEAL Community who are in need of assistance. Their primary mission is to provide support for all generations of current, retired, and former UDT/SEAL teammates and their immediate dependents, including Gold Star Families. Please consider giving to this worthy charity!
HMD co-owner Kenneth Dickinson and his wife Jennifer are proud to announce that their daughter, Katherine Grace, will be attending East Carolina University this fall! A soon-to-be Millbrook High School class of 2022 graduate, we know that Katherine has a bright future ahead… And our team happily celebrates her achievements! We look forward to seeing what the next chapter of Katherine’s journey will bring!
Happy Groundhog Day! An English proverb states that no matter how long the winter, spring is sure to follow. Are you hoping for six more weeks of winter or for an early spring?
We are delighted to spotlight two more team members behind the work we accomplish at HMD. Allow us to introduce Nathan and Ray.
Nathan oversees and supports our HMD team in various aspects of the construction process in his role as Project Manager. Having joined us in 2018, he’s involved from start to finish on our jobs. He has a long history in construction work that began with working with his dad on small residential remodels and repairs as well as occasionally traveling to help with church construction projects along the east coast. This experience fueled Nathan’s goal to start a residential construction business. Always after a challenge, his next endeavor was entering the commercial construction industry, where he finds there is always something new to learn within the multifaceted nature of this work. Married with two little boys who are always hammering on something, Nathan enjoys tackling personal construction projects as a hobby.
Our Senior Superintendent Ray also has a long history in the construction industry, with experience ranging from laborer to management. We are appreciative of Ray’s work with our team as he creates and manages schedules for multiple projects while supervising ground-up and interior completions. He has told us that at 62 years young, he enjoys the professionalism, comradery, and devotion to our clients and products that HMD expects and delivers. A veteran of the United States Army Signal Corps, Ray attended NC State University and earned an associate degree from Sandhills Community College. When Ray isn’t at work, you’ll find him working out or deep sea fishing. He is a proud dad of a beautiful daughter who is a special education teacher in Johnston County.
Our accomplishments at HMD have been attained thanks to our team and we’re extremely pleased to have Nathan and Ray as part of the HMD family.
In every project we undertake, our mission is to set the stage for our clients to achieve their own success in spaces that are well-built, functional, and stylish. This is accomplished through providing exceptional attention to details. Upon entering our finished projects, clients and guests are met with aesthetically pleasing details, from clean paint lines and smooth walls to meticulous trim work and solid flooring.
Details such as these comprise the first unspoken sales tool… The all-important first impression that customers experience when they’ve entered the space of a business at the top of its game. It is a great pleasure and honor of our team to provide clients with spaces that reflect who they are as a company.
We invite you to contact us to discuss your construction needs by calling (919) 791-4631. We’d love to partner with you on your project!
We are very proud of our accomplishments at HMD, knowing that each one has been attained thanks to the incredible individuals who have become our HMD family. Today we are excited to introduce team members Marguerite and Luke.
As HMD Construction Administrator, Marguerite is responsible for contract preparation, accounts payable/receivable, and day-to-day office administration. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Fashion Merchandising & Design from Meredith College and has worked for construction and oil field service companies in Florida and North Dakota. She takes great pride in her role as dog mom to Charlie, her wire-haired pointing griffon, and has a passion for painting.
Luke has been with HMD since 2019. A native of Chicago, his family owned and operated a carpentry construction company where he worked as an Apprentice Carpenter, moving up to a Journeyman/Foreman. After relocating to Fuquay-Varina, Luke started with HMD Construction as a Field Superintendent. He now performs in the role of Estimator, working closely with clients, subcontractors, and the HMD team to estimate new projects. On a personal note, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Kathryn, and his hobbies include hunting, fishing, wakeboarding, and snowboarding.
We are grateful to have Marguerite and Luke in our HMD family!
Wishing you a bright new year from the HMD Construction & Development family!
Here’s to a joyous holiday season!
